Welcome to Ducking Fabulous, home of eclectic and unique jewellery and accessories to brighten up your day!
Each piece of jewellery is handmade by me in my studio in Essex, using beads, charms, buttons and anything that I find inspiring and think would make a quirky addition to the collection.
I love to use both vintage and new materials, especially buttons, and will often mix styles, eras and colours to fit my vision. Although some of my creations will be similar in design, the handmade nature of them means that no two are ever identical, and those that use vintage 'ingredients' are strictly limited edition.
I'm currently selling through craft fairs and via word-of-mouth... fairs will be added to the Ducking Fabulous Diary as they come up, new pieces find their way to the Gallery from time to time, and I can always be contacted via the 'Contact' page :) I do have a Folksy shop but it's on hiatus while I concentrate on the fairs - I love meeting my customers in person!
In 2010, Ducking Fabulous jewellery can be seen & bought on the Chelmsford Arts Trail (at Chelmsford Library Gallery between 14 August and 7 October) and on the first Sunday of every month at the Craft & Farmers Market at Hylands House, also in Chelmsford.
I can work in plated gold or silver or sterling silver, most of the pieces are plated metal and Beadalon wire, but I can happily swap findings over if you'd prefer the opposite to what they were originally made in :)
I mostly make jewellery, but corsages and brooches often find their way into my repertoire, and the occasional bag or belt will sometimes pop up!
